Located on the busy intersection of East Broadway & Essex, the first location celebrates planting the seed for Jajaja Plantas Mexicana. Clear Studios developed the interior identity & narrative for the space through eclectic global roots - expansive arches, patterned textiles, bright vibrant colors, & diverse textures. The ambiance is inviting and playful just like the Jajaja name. The integration of plant life and residential windows with blinds, offers a homey fresh natural experience to a restaurant setting.
During construction at the original location, the site revealed a historic mosaic floor from the early 1900s. This original penny tile mosaic is recreated in the new location and anchors the design. Clear Studios approached this renovation of historic story with elevating what is existing. Allowing for the history to become to main design feature.
